Stewards in Action Training
This workshop will go over the various roles and responsibilities of the union steward. The AFSCME steward, more than any other union leader or activist, has the opportunity to energize and mobilize the source of our union’s strength: the membership. Every day, the steward is the one union person members see when they are at work. In the eyes of most AFSCME members, you are the union. So, if they have faith in you, members will have faith in the union.
Note: this training is part of AFSCME Council 65's 61st Convention, however members can attend just this training and not the full Friday-Saturday convention.
