Shannon became a member of Local 3268 in 2003.  She served as an officer and steward in her Local.  Shannon joined AFSCME Council 65 as a Labor Representative in 2007.  She worked as a Labor Representative in the East Central and Central MN areas for 9 years.  She served on the AFSCME International Next Wave Advisory Committee for two years.  Shannon was appointed Associate Director in 2016 and was hired as the Executive Director in 2020.
