Celebrating the Life of Maxine Davis

Maxine "Max" Davis dies peacefully in her home on National Nurses Day, May 6th, this year. 

Maxine worked at ISU Mankato for 30 years. Maxine was a past Director and then President of MLPNA. Max helped lead the merger of MLPNA and AFSCME Council 65. She served on the Council 65 Executive Board, the United Nurses of America Board and as the President of MLPNA.

Max also worked with the Alliance to update the Nurse Practice Act for LPNs -- an accomplishment that will be long remembered and that she was very proud of. 

Max had a heart of gold and was incredibly proud of her profession. She enjoyed thrift shopping and decorating. Many fun times were had with Max and she will be truly missed. Please send your prayers to her family and on behalf of MLPNA / AFSCME Local 105, thank you for sharing her with us.
